Is an Air-way model 66 worth anything? Are they good vacs? Thanks.

AirWay 66

Great but common post war(49-55)vac.Value would depend on completeness and condition. Most won't have box, book or tool caddy with elastic straps. The 66 was first restyled square AW and had the new matching tools seen on the last 55s.---One reason they are common was because of a story I heard from a former AW salesman when I was door-to-door with Elux.He told of knocking on a door after WW2 and telling the lady he was selling vacuums. She replied that salesmen came around every week saying they sold vacs but didn't have any to deliver that day.He told her"Lady,I've got 9 AirWay vacuums in my car now!"She then told him to sit on the porch while she called some friends. They came over and he sold all 9!(This was probably the 55 but stories and sales like this were happening across the US from 46 through the 50s).
