I just picked up some Royals and Kirbys. The Kirbys are a 515, Classic Omega and III, and a G5. Those are self explanatory and I know everything I need to about them. The thing I don't know a single thing about is the Royals.
There is a Green "Anniversary" model 8801AE.
a Red "Classic" model 89130C
and a Red "Classic Edition" model 9700.
The 9700 is a rather interesting one, with a headlight.
Whatever you can tell me on them would be great, and what they'd be worth in excellent working condition and good physical condition if I put them up on craigslist and or ebay, because I'd be looking to sell.

The 9700 is the twin to the 9100, except it has the toe touch height adjustment instead of the rite hite screw. It is a 7 amp motor with a 9 bladed fan. I especially like the 9100 and 9700 because the 7 amp motors are the most powerful you can get before they came out with the 8, 9, and 10 amp drop in motors which are just plain LOUD. I would say you could get $75+ for each machine if in good condition. Pictures would be nice btw :-)

btw, I noticed you live near Detroit, I'm in Muskegon. I might actually be interested in the 9700 but thats QUITE a long drive lol

the 9700

For right now, the 9700 is the only one I'd like to keep, and possibly the 515. But if I don't get what I'd like for any of the other vacs, or they don't sell, I might just sell that one to recoup my costs which is my bottom line unfortunately. I am near Detroit. Shipping shouldn't be too bad for just going across the state. The 8900 seems to work the best though, but it has a very nice almost new looking brushroll on it.
Pictures to come once I charge my phone.

Thats ok, Evan (kirbykid) is helping me get another one. you may want to keep the green royal also because they are uncommon. as for the 8900 cleaning better, the brushroll makes all the difference. royal brush rolls have adjustment numbers like a kirby, try adjusting the brush on the 9700 to see if it works better.

brush adjustments

yeah I knew about that. Infact, the guy had the brushroll on the 8900 adjusted to the lowest it would go, and because it has near brand new bristles, it was pulling itself across the floor so fast I had to brace myself to hold it back. Unfortunately for me I need to at least make $140 back off of some of these vacs. If I sell two royals that's a hopeful $75. Ideally I'd like to sell them all and make back all the money I've spent on the other 6-8 vacs I've bought in the near past, because for someone with no real income spending $440 in two months on "toys" isn't the most economical thing to do. But if I can sell the three newer kirbys and put a dent in that, I might hold on to the others.

on the contrary, I think you could get almost $75 for EACH royal

Ah yes. I should have said $150. I knew what you meant by $75, I just didn't respond with the right wordage. $75 a piece was what I expected before, but it's all dependent on finding buyers.

I have a nice 514 bag if you want to buy it for that 515.

Vacuum/Royal Red

I use the red Royal, that's pictured a few pics above to clean at my church.

I clean the floors, and pews. It's the only dependable vacuum; doesn't spew dust.

updates

I recently sold the Kirby classics, the G5, and the 8900 Royal. Looks like I'll be keeping the other 3 vacs.
