Hey Guys, Sorry I know I have been absent, but school is kicking my butt. I have four classes total and have already completed two not even a month into my semester so I am pretty proud of myself. As you guys know I have been looking for a hoover to add to the fleet and I found one. $5 find and works like a champ and is in good shape just havent cleaned it up yet! Btw this is my fav color so stoked!

I've been wondering where you went. Glad you're above ground. Enjoy your Ranger...everyone must have one, maybe two.

Excellent Find!

I have the same Hoover cleaner in my collection. That is model U4423, styled in Olympic Blue and
Oyster White. For only five dollars, a cleaner of that quality is a steal! Glad it went to a good home!

Here is my production sample, made in March 1988.

Really nice find

I have successfully removed scratches from my hoover hoods with the use of several fine grades of sandpaper and wet sanding. My hoover guardsman on ebay came out like new.

Thanks Guys

I agree the thrill is def in finding them and how much you give for them. I have used Acetone from the home improvement store and it pulls the scuffs right out. I am a bit scared to try sandpaper!

That is a very nice Hoover Tristan, very amazing for $5. I hope you like it.

BTW I like the table next to the Hoover in your pic, I have a 4 piece table set just like it in my game room

from 1986 to 1989 that model was hot

i sold hundreds of u4423s in that period and most arestill on the road and i am still servicing them....i still even have my original one at home....my u4423 had the metal bottom plate and the model was transitioned to a black plastic bottom plate with the foam seal in early 1988....still an exceptional hoover convertible

style,  I have, I believe,  as Jackie Kennedy would say, "one in every color". You know you must.  I've given them to people, as well.  One went to my aunt (had a 70 also). Gave one to an old friend.  He sold it.  Sadly, both the vacuum and the friend are gone now, as well as my aunt. They have a very bright light and lots of power with those high performance motors.  We'll have to find you a nice set of tools now.

There are several which I do not have.

I don't need them, either.   If one comes along,  great.  If not,  mine will suffice.

There are other machines to find along the way.

Back in November 2006, One of my mother's friends gave me a Kirby Sentria with the standard attachments and with the Carpet Shampoo System attachment. He bought it in August 2006 for $1500. I just wanted to let you know what I got for Christmas 2006.
