Hi,
There are 2 GE tool sets for sale on Ebay.I am thinking about buying them, but I don't have a vac to go with them.

Does anyone out there have a GE Upright from the 60's/70's Models U5, U6, OR U7 they are interested in selling me? I would like to have it running and in decent shape?

Thank you,
Chan 55

GE upright and tools

You must have looked at my GE toolkits. The deluxe(only one I ever found)is sold.Still have the standard and may have a partial used set labeled for Premier. After that only loose odds & ends of GE atts.I think I have 1-3 GE uprights in warehouse mixed in with twin fan Sears/Singer.Might be average to good condition.I think I have at least one green. The uprights were never common here but I still have customers for many swivel tops. Will try to make list when I go over for an Elux.

Will try for more complete description and pics. They are on top shelf in warehouse with no power.(The same warehouse any could back a car or van to and get many vacs for little $$.)

and another!

Looks like both yellow are Premier.Just found a U-4,light tan-brown bumper-chrome handle.Very good except cord broken and missing at handle(I think this was common wear point). Was able to use test cord and it runs great at both speeds.
This proves that-A.I am seeing to many modern Chinese vacs & B.Hans is right. These are amazing uprights.--Old style but using flat belt and atts as easy to use as Dial-A-Matic.10 blade metal fan.Suction and hose controls that Rube Goldberg would be proud of!Moving the knob to HOSE-raises front, changes speed, closes shutter to direct suction to hose. Will try to work with U-4 and maybe another this weekend. They need to GO.Call 423-297-6918 or see on EBay in2-3 weeks.
