For a vac to be worth selling on Ebay it has to be worth enough to justify the shipping charges. But those vacs are usually rare & desirable for me as well hmmm.... dilemma.
Pulled out the Royal's & thought, "man what a deal these vacs are", remembering why i sought them out in the first place, so even though i have 3 other Royals i like more i think i still want to hang on to these.
The Convertible(!), the vac of my generation bar none, how can i cut & run & sell even one?

My motivation is i want to keep this hobby basically free including expenses (vac, parts, gas etc.). Just my time & labor spent, with net zero financial costs after i sell the extra vacs that don't call to me enough. That was the plan any way...but any vac i go through, cleaning & repairing as needed, i now want to keep it even more. If i then use it, & like it, no way i want to sell.

Hard tellin' not knowin'...

Sorry, I'm afraid I'm not following you.....it's been too long of a day I suppose! Are you planning on selling them or keeping them? I certainly would be interested in the two convertibles, and maybe one of the Royals, that is if you're selling.....You can contact me if you wish at vacman1980@gmail.com to discuss them. Thanks!

Steve

Aren't Both Your Royals (1st Pic) 1994-95 Models?

kirbyclassiciii's profile picture
Is it true that both of your Royals - as seen in the 1st pic - were made between March 1994 and March 1995? If so, then the red/black one would have the 6 amp motor and the commercial model the 7 amp motor, both of the non-drop-in type.

While i have your attention Ben, what do you think of the Royal red bag Duke line? I found one & have so far passed on it as i got interested in other vac types but if the guy still has it he may come down on the price to where i have to go for it...

Royals, man what value. The commercial one here with the gray shake out bag has be up graded with a type B bag fill tube, didn't realize it until today, gonna be Hepa's for this allergy sufferer when i get around to putting it to work. What kind of oil, electric motor 3 in 1 i suppose & how much?

The 671 was made in September 1994, which has the 7-amp non-drop-in motor.

And the Anniversary Edition... model 89130, made in September 1995. It is this one which uses the 9-amp "screamer" drop-in motor.

I have a back log of vacs so i haven't even used most of the vacs i own yet. I have 2 young kids & only come out here to my Mothers big old house in the winter where i keep them all. I really can't pass up a bargin & as i explained above, if i can get lucky & find a few i can Ebay to pay for it all...well, everyone's happy.
