Hi Kerry!! Just wanted to know if you still have the brass/copper plated wands for the GE Roll-Easy. That's the only thing I need to make mine complete and original. Please let me know what you want for them ASAP. Thanks, Toby Glenn |

Howdy Kerry and welcome to the forum. I have the first model Roll-Easy and the two copper plated aluminum wands... But what to you mean by trim? Because my handle support trim copper plate is mostly gone now and a newish hose recepticle flat plate would be nice. And if you know the whereabouts of turquoise hose stock, or a turquoise or gray GE vinyl hose or most desired - the specific GE hose ends I can have copper plated and put new hose stock on. Check out all the Roll-Easy posts this month. :-) Dave |

I'm in Southern Ontario Canada across Lake Erie from Erie PA. From what I've heard the Roll-Easy wasn't available in Canada but what do I know... However, all my Vac Shop contacts around here say these are a most peculiar hose to vacuum connector specific to GE and hasn't been used since the late 50s. As you can see, the latch hook engages 3/4" inside the socket and the gray O-ring seals against the opening. Thus the trigger button must be 1 3/4" back from the latch hook. The pipe diameter is a nonstandard GE specific 1 3/8" O.D. Meanwhile, the nozzle end of the hose uses the usual GE latch hook/button distance of only 3/8". Generously, the nozzle attachments all accept only a 1 3/8" pipe. I do have a lovely gray GE vinyl hose from a 1970s canister vac but sadly the hose-to-vacuum connector latch spacing is the same as the nozzle end and the button is too close to the latch to be usable. So I'm hunting for a trashed 50's GE hose just to salvage the ends & copperplate 'em. The hose that came with the Roll-Easy leaks like a sieve dispite its lovely cloth weave and will not be sacrificed for the cause. :-) Dave |
