Is there ANY bare floor brushes that stand upright instead of leaning the wand against the wall?

I don't know of any, but

Miele vacuums have a parking spot for their floor brushes. On the TOL models it even shuts the motor off. This way you don't have to lay it down.

I would agree with PR-21. Bare floor brushes aren't nearly as wide as power nozzles, they don't have the base support to stand openly. They have to either park onto the canister such as available on many modern units to include Miele, Sebo, Hoover Windtunnel Anniversary, Royal Lexon SR30020 and others. Or you can lean it on a wall or lay it down on suction unit while not in use.

All are angled with neck that rotates side to side but not up and down. Therefore neck is angled so that bristles on front and back will be at correct cleaning angle on floor for proper cleaning while in user operating position.

I hope this is helpful!! If you were thinking of something different from the direction I've skewed by your post, please let me know. I'm a canister vacuum lover and 90% of the time always use bare floor brush for hard floors.

I...

Think the Wessel Werk Turn & Clean may, but I'm not sure. GoVacuum should be able to tell you if it will or not. Only catch is it would at most only be able to support the wand, the hose would have to be detached.

Really like the floor brush on the new Kenmore Progressive canisters. Swivels side to side and up and down and has horsehair bristles! Also has a felt foot at back to prevent scraping floors. Will not stand on its own though.

In truth, the very nature of a bare floor brush requires that it not be stored flat on the floor with weight on it. The better floor brushes have softer bristles to minimize scratching of polished flooring, and storing these pressed to a floor will mash the bristles. The only safe way to do this is to have the tool take the weight on a pair of wheels behind the nozzle itself, but that would still not prevent the weight of the hose and wands from eventually "smooshing" the bristles.

Both Sebo and Vorwerk have multi-function uprights which allow you to remove the powered carpet nozzle and replace it with a bare floor attachment. I imagine the vacs then become more like stick vacs or electric brooms. Not sure if these unique designs allow you to stand up the machine with any stability when these bare floor tools are attached.
