Bulging switch....

I'm told this is different to the 120V version- possibly to allow for more insulation?

There was a brand new one on eBay a month ago. I put it on here, most likely gone into the archives now!

Hi Seamus.

Very nice. I do love the Royal metal vacuum cleaners. I have the Royal Everlast 8300 which is 110v.
Yeah your 240v switch bulges out more than mine.
Where did you find it?

It was on Ebay....

Hey Guys
The seller was in Falkirk so it may have been posted before...
It works well but isnt the quietest to say the least!
James did your Everlast come from Charles Lester by chance? I know he listed one a while back.
Pics??

Oh bags...

The bags for this are the same as those used by my Vax upright VCU-02 so I saved the Royal branded one and put one of those in ;)

Nope...

Nope I got it a 5 years ago off another collector from here.
I can't remember who now lol. I do like it:o)I got the attachment set for it as well.
I still keep meaning to get some of those original fragrance crystals that go in the compartment at the top of the head. Finding them is the hard part. Some one told me where to get them from a site in the USA but can't remeber where it was. Plus I had better things to spend my pennies on lol.

The bag looks pretty similar to mine- does it use the Type B bags?
Bet shipping was horrendous!!

Umm

Umm I'm not sure what bags it takes with out looking at the pack. There packed away somewhere.
I can't remember what the postage was. Prob around the £100 mark at a guess.
I've tested it a few times on different carpets etc but don't use it to clean as I can't be bothered to carry the transformer around why I clean.
Same goes for my Kirbys I imported in from the USA. But at least I can run them which is why I got the transformer.

Charles Lester

had a Royal powercast on ebay awhile back. It was the red one, and it came with all the tools. And I bought it from him. Looks nice but I don't know how it cleans because I never took it out of the box. I just wanted one for my collection.. It is out in the garage with a bunch of other vacs. When it gets warmer I will have to take it out and give it a run to see how it cleans... Dan

How much you asking for it?

To be honest I'd like 100 pound, including postage, but you can make an offer!

Well I'll look out for it and might make an offer :-)

I've always been impressed by the performance and build quality of Royals. They are up there with Kirby.

I think they look better :-)
