I was in my favorite thrift store yesterday and ran across a Miele Red Star canister with powerhead, wands, hose, and all attachments for 8 bucks. Needless to say I quickly grabbed it up. This is the first canister I have had in a very long time. I am a die-hard Kirby fan, but I am actually REALLY enjoying this little Miele! The variable power motor is amazing and it is the ABSOLUTE QUIETEST vacuum I have ever used... even at high speed.

Just wanted to share my little score!

Peace,
alkirbyguy

Cool! I love finding nicer vacuums used. In June, I found a Riccar 8900 for $30.

My first Miele

was a Red Star. I still have it and it sure is quiet. I can use it late at night at the hotel cleaning the lobby without disturbing the guests...

Nice. Is that an SEB 217?

It is an SEB 213 powerhead I believe.

Nice find. I'm enjoying mine. These thrift stores do not know apples from oranges. A vacuum is a vacuum, is a vacuum to them. It's great for us because we get good deals.
