So I was over at a friends house helping her clean and she has a Electrolux Nimble. I really don't think it's one of the better products on the market. While the carpet cleaning is amazing and the suction in general is great, the attachment use is not the best. The handle is unconfortable, I was trying to clean the couch and with the way the handle is built it made using the hose difficult to use. The multi attachment wasn't that great also. Theresa has a dog with lots of dog hair and the multi attachment didn't do that great to use.

Anyone have one of these? What do you think of the product?

I have one,and I agree with all your points. I have to say there is nothing Nimble about it. The thing weighs a ton, but on the other hand I like the led lights the bare floor switch, and the decent length hose that doesn't seem to tip over when using it in my experience. I got a remanufactured unit at Big Lots for $99. So overall I'm pleased with it. Now,if I had paid full retail that might be a different story..

I've had a Nimble since sept 2011. I bought one as they are well made and are one of the few vacuums that have a metal sole plate. One the whole I have been very pleased with it. It's is relatively quiet, cleans well and maintenance is very easy. The one niggle I have had since day one is the power cord, it twists terribly and needs straightened out every-time you wind the cord back on the hooks. The 3 in 1 tool is ok but not brilliant when in crevice tool mode. It did make me laugh that the cleaner was described as "light weigh" in the sales blurb but I like the fact it feels really solidly made and the wand slots back into the body of the cleaner with a reassuring clunk.I also have to say that I love the styling of it.

The cleaner had never tipped over when using to tools until last week when the cord became caught round the back wheel, I hadn't noticed and tugged on the hose causing the cleaner to land on the bottom cord hook which broke off, much to my annoyance, something I can live with though.

Theresa was just happy that she had a new Electrolux. She had always had them and then when her last Electrolux died because her husband blew it up she didn't have the money to go out and buy a new one so she bought a Bissell. I didn't have the heart to tell her that the Electrolux Nimble is not the same company that her other Electrolux's were and that this company is actually a sister company to Eureka and that the old Electrolux is now Aerus.

I'm not saying that the Nimble is a bad vacuum yes it does have a few good features like the suction, and the carpet cleaning. It is nice because it does not tip when the hose is extended and has a decent reach and it is very quiet, but like I said the handle is really uncomfortable to use and it is heavy.

Would I owe one? Most likely not. I'm not a upright person I prefer canister all the way.
