I found a Filtex vacuum in my attic that still works. Is anyone interested? |

Finding a box and shipping it would be my only expense so its up to you. I just hate to see it go to waste if it's useful to someone. |

I'm not sure if you were just wanting this machine because it was close to you, or if you were wanting a filtex, but I found one on eBay that's very similar to the one above. Take care!

.
. The first Filtex model was introduced in 1938. I have an advertising pamphlet for this model and it says across the top "FILTEX Proven Since 1938." However, I don't know what the 1938 model looks like. I have the instruction booklet for the model/version I still have. It references several patent numbers on the cover page of the patent (see attached file). There's a sales receipt section on the back cover that is filled in with a sale date of 1947. To me, the overall aesthetics and design of this machine put it in the mid to late 1930s so my hunch is that this was the same basic model until the early 1950s when the later version came out (like the one in the first posting in this thread). |
