Here is my latest thrift store find. A Model 1370 baby blue Penncrest Convertible. It was pretty dirty & scuffed, but it cleaned up nicely. It's the first Convertible that I have taken apart down to the bottom bearing & serviced. It purrs like new now! First Pic is before.

You did a great job!!  Doesn't that little "P" look silly in that circle?

But, it's ALL HOOVER.  Great find!

Thanks John! The "P" does look out of place there.

That's one of the cleaners featured in Penney's Spring and Summer 1969 catalog, for the princely sum of $49.87, along with a similar model with a cord reel and headlight, which sold for $66.87. Quite a find, indeed!

Wow! That's great to know Ray. Hard to imagine that a well-built product could have been sold for such a low price.

PENNCREST!!!

Penncrests are very rare never trade it and never sell it. If you hold on to it, the value will crank up

Thanks John! I am happy it turned out as good looking as it did considering the scuffs it had.

Hey Brian, nice job looks great.

Anyone got any idea how many models Hoover made for Penney's , I have about 4 but know there must be a lot more.

Mark
