my favorite vac of all of them is the D4. But for all practical uses, it's now my innovation. the Rainbow doesn't get used much because I don't do that much vacuuming. |

Here's 2 Hoover power nozzles. The one on the left is the more typically known Futura nozzle but was also used on this model as its last application before Hoover discontinued it. This is the Hoover PowerMax Supreme S3530.
The one on the right is the more typical Hoover PowerMax power nozzle. It is sleeker and lower profile. This power nozzle is off of a Hoover PowerMax Deluxe S3607 canister. |

Isn't it fun to vacuum in the dark with your just your headlights though!! I love looking at them.
These power heads clean so well too. Very powerful motors, great Hoover auger action agitators. These motors just PURRR like a cute kitten would. The motor noise is music to my ears, unlike the older CenTec CT14DX power nozzle motors. Those CenTec motors were just obnoxious. For this photo, the PowerMax Supreme S3530 power team canister is running as a team. The PowerMax Deluxe S3607 power nozzle is running off of a Central vacuum hose pigtail cord. The S3607 vacuum did not come with agitator on/off switch, but did come with gas pump handle. Therefore although a T shaped plug, it is only 2 prongs and therefore motor and headlight all work off of the 2 prongs and the pigtail cord works for running the nozzle. Oh Hoover!! Nobody, Does it like you!! |

My favourite vacuum (for carpet cleaning and above floor cleaning) has to be my 1994 Hoover Turbopower 1000 because it is well made, has incredible suction, long hose with a good set of tools and the superb Activator brush roll for carpet grooming.
For just purely carpet cleaning however it would have to be my 1977 Hoover Senior Ranger as it really lives up to the "it beats... as it sweeps... as it cleans" slogan. I would be in pure heaven if you put me in a huge house with room after room of quality non-glued down carpet to just spend hours non-stop vacuuming with that old Senior. |

I took my Grandpa's Kirby D50 and retrimmed it with bojack brown trim, an open-top genuine Kirby bag mounted on a Heritage II mini emtor and added a Classic handle unit. It works wonderfully. I have used it as a daily driver and as a weekends-only driver. It has never given me any trouble. It's great.

I use my Sebo x1.1 for day to day cleaning, but my favourites to use are my Electrolux z2020 and z1070. I also really love using my Panasonic 40 series cleaners. They're not the best vacs in the world - strong suction and great for low pile/surface pick up, but not great deep cleaners - but I grew up with one so it has a lot of good memories behind it for me.

My NSS M-1 is by far and away my absolute favorite machine. Since the first time I saw one of these being used when I was about 3-4 years old its held my fascination and love for all these years. Even now I still get that feeling of excitement that I did when I was little and would hear one turn on or running and then turn off when I was a a store or wherever they used them.
