I found this Eureka tonight at the local Goodwill. Manufactured in April 1996, it is in extremely good shape. The previous owner included a pack of Genuine Eureka bags, one of which was already installed. The brush roll looks original, but still has a good amount of life on it. I'll try to get some more detailed pictures of it the morning. Now I'll have something to play with until my Silverado arrives.

Sorry, I have no idea why this picture isn't showing up properly. Apple Preview presents it correctly, but when I upload it here, it needs to be flipped. More, correctly formated, pictures in the morning.

Nice find, does it have the bare floor brush with it? 1996 sound kind of early for it to have HEPA filtration. I always liked these because of the dual motor system. Unfortunately from what I hear the suction could have been better.

Enjoy it!

I agree about the suction, could have been better but this was Eureka's early attempt at clean air

I remember Electrolux SA having a sample of this machine but they waited and brought out the widetrack instead. I would love to know what happened to it.

Our Sample one was red and had Electrolux badges on it, WE also had a black soft bag boss with Electrolux badging on it

Excalibur

Was an interesting vac with 2 motor, bypass, hose, etc.Earliest were dark green with reflective decal.Possible problems are 3 position switch and clog in rear section.Otherwise a good,if bulky/heavy vac.Was also made as a Sanitaire. Used Y bag but U will fit.Enjoy.

I've uploaded a video of the Eureka for anyone who is interested. I think this will do the job better than pictures:
