Hey guys, I just recently bought a U4127 (Green and White) Hoover Convertible from eBay and that made me realize just how much I liked that model machine. Once upon a time, before the basement fiasco at my house, I had nine or ten of that model in my collection and I lost all of them. I would like to begin rebuilding my collection again of those green and white convertibles so does anyone on here have one they would be willing to part with? I'll include a photo of what they look like. Thanks in advance!

I appreciate the offer, I have several models of convertibles that I had put in a storage building, but kept all of my Green/White convertibles on display. Having a large amount of identical machines was always a conversation starter and something I would like to do again!

Looks great, best of luck with the Convertible. I will keep my eye out for you on Convertibles. I know there is a 1030 on eBay presently.

People seem to really LOVE that model.

Oddly, it has no light, BUT, a handle grip. Usually, when they scaled down a model, the grip went, too. I have 1 of them. I must take it to the 'spa'. A few years ago, at the convention, there was one in the raffle, totally refurbished vy "Little Fred". He did a super job. I forget who won it. A greay cleaner.
Isn't it fun to get those reactions to "multiple units"?

To me that is half the reason I collect them, I absolutely LOVE to see that look of utter shock when someone sees that many multiples of a machine, of course the flurry of questions that follow are hilarous! My wife on the other hand, doesn't find as much humor in it as I do, but the only thing she collects is shoes so she doesn't understand why I want multiples of something! I would have loved to see that completely refurbished model. I can't figure it out though, they are so hard to come by on eBay, I don't know if that model was so popular people kept them, or if they were all junked years ago....who knows!

Not sure.

They were beaten to Hell, I know. But, they were sold EVERYWHERE. I have at least one, perhaps 2. I know I have another handle.
They're kinda like the 80's "28"... you must have at least one in your collection. I have 8 or 9 69s and 70s... in various conditions. Amazing. I enjoy that reaction, too, when people 'look', you can see them thinking... Some are very patronizing: " How many 'sweepers' do you have"? I start off with, SEVERAL! I have the 'back staircase' lined w/ convertibles. One friend almost wet her pants laughing..."It's like Catholic school...all lined up in a row". She got over it, and, now gives me 'suggestions" for the soon-coming HOOVER "Gallery". AS Tom Anderson and I agree: "The only thing better than a 67, is ..TWO 67s".

I LOVE it! If I wasn't working, I'd put it together and vacuum our entire office with it, but I have a feeling upper management would frown on it! I already get strange looks from my boss with all of the vacuum cleaners I have sitting in here anyway, but so far they're being good sports about it and haven't said anything to me yet, so I better not push my luck Smile  Shannon, I'm still very interested in your U4127 you have for $40 and would love to discuss it with you, please contact me so we can talk. Thanks!
