Hello all, I was in the neighborhood of the Discuss-O-Mat washer forums and remembered this one, It's been a while since I was here. Anyway, I was wondering if anyone had or knew of some old parts for a Hoover 700 from the 1920's for sale.

Specifically, I'm looking for the "U" shaped cover plate on the underside of the motor, that you remove to change the belt or add the dusting attachments. I think I asked around here about a year ago, but to no avail. I think other models within a handful of years are mostly interchangeable parts-wise, so there's that too.

I suppose I could even buy a whole other vacuum for parts so long as I can find one, and it's cheap enough! But good luck getting that combo...

Anyway, hopefully someone will have some info!

Thanks,
-Ronny

I hope it's ok to link to images from around the internet (seems so) but here is a picture of the underside of one. I'm missing the plate that says "THE HOOVER MAKES RUGS LAST LONGER" and it would seem from another thread I found from a while back that these parts seem to go missing easily.

Has anyone encountered this problem that was able to come up with a replacement or other solution?

Thanks
-Ronny

No ideas?

Does anybody maybe have a Hoover 700 they're able to part out?

But, I think it's missing that plate.
