Thanks, Kenkart. The Kenmore bag is the smaller one, then? (I have a small pan.) The Kenmore bag is square, yes? thanks again, Steve |

Just wondering, is the Kenmore bag you refer to the Kenmore 5033 bags?I believe I have heard of Miele bags being used in Fairfax canisters recently, either on here or one of the Facebook groups, so this doesn't surprise me to use this sort of modification. And when you remove the rubber deflector, do you need to install a tube or anything to mount the bag on?? I have always been curious about obtaining a Silver King or Fairfax, they look so heavy-duty & powerful....
Steve: If Hans replies back here saying the Kenmore bag he is referring to is indeed the 5033 style bag, DO NOT go to your local vac shop or to Sears to buy the bags! Those bags, as well as generic vac shop brand bags, are only paper bags with no liner for filtration. However, if you go to Wal-Mart, they do carry the Arm & Hammer Kenmore Style E, 5023 & 5033 bags, & these are paper Micro-Filtration bags. The collar is identical to the genuine Kenmore bags, with the rubber gasket. They sell them for $5.63 for a 3-pack, so reasonable cost too, & I'm sure you would appreciate the added filtration they would offer. Rob |
