I have to replace the contacts in the front door of my Lux Epic 6500RS.

It looks like a simple job.

Who eles has done this with this model?

Where is a good place to order these from?

Thanks

Brad.

Hi Brad, your best bet is Electrolux.

I can get parts for the American Aerus/Electrolux machines, do you care to take a photo of what you're looking for and send it to me? I'll see if it's something I can get for you. You can send it to my email if you don't care vacman1980@gmail.com Thanks!

hose inlet

The contacts are part of the whole hose inlet I have a few. There are aftermarket ones as well that work great

ahhhhh,,thanks guys..

guess what?

I read on line after some searching that there is a fuse in the black wire going from the door of the vacuum to the cord winder. This black wire is connected to the right side of the contacts in that door.I cut out the fuse and reconnected the wires and it works fine. How about that?

Haha

I do believe that. Haven't seen that fuse go out very often but it does happen.

Brad, that's wonderful that it was such a simple fix! Now you can put your Lux back to work & maybe give your Filter Queen a break :-)
