By coincidence, these came my way separately fairly recently and also be coincidence, they are the same maroon and cream color scheme. The upright is a Model 2097A and the canister is a Model 1770. They are both in reasonably original condition, but I had to make a few repairs on each. Not all the attachments are original to the canister. I'm not a Eureka collector but someone will want them.

Great Pair of Cleaners

1979, I became a Eureka Rep for Central and southen Ohio in Feb.
The Vac shops and Department stores loved these two models. AS the Branch
went from 1 manager and 2 reps to a manager, sales manager and 4 reps
to make sure these powerful new cleaners were out in the field.
The ESP upright did well against Hoovers and Kirbys (trandition) at
the time. The 6 AMP motor and the Vibra-groomer 1 made a great sale.
At the price of $149.00. While the the 2087 without the cord away at 119.00
Then in the southen rual area's going toward the Ohio River. Lux
held a strong hold with their door to door sales guys. Plus the almost
300 dollar cost. So people came to the furiture and appliance
dealers to buy the 1279 "power team", with the color, the headlight
and again vibra-groomer 1 Power Nozzle. Customers were sold at
at the #189.00 price point.

The upright is comparable to a Hoover Convertible, maybe not quite as well made as the Hoover. BUT -- the Eureka motor is considerably quieter than the Hoover machine.

Yes, those are two of the three brandywine color models from 1980. I have both canisters, but neither still have the original hose or full vinyl encased handle grip. Just lovely examples there.
