Well i've managed to get this from the vacuum store/shop that I am currently working at :-) Its my new bench vac piped in from the back of my vac room, with an inlet at my desk/bench. This thing runs great! Would anybody be able to tell be how old it is? Its a model: 353CA, which i'm assuming means 353 "Canadian". If someone could give me a date that would be great :-) I believe its from the 70s.

Daniel :-)

Love it!

I have a Brown NuTone 350 from the 70's installed in my store for my bench vacuum and it cleans the showroom. I have a holster vac set up at the work bench which I just love. Will post pictures tomorrow.

We have the same system as you mounted in the loft at work, which is piped down to our bench! It works great and its really quiet! I love the old NuTones! Our stretch hose just clips on to the bench and we have a toggle switch instead of the holster vac though. I would love to see pictures!

Here is the work bench end of the system. I went with the standard wire reinforced hose for flexibility and because I find the stretch hoses to be be very frustrating when using the crevice tool.

Here is the vacuum unit itself. Located in the utility closet which is dead center in my store. Actually on the other side of the wall where the vacuum hangs is my work bench. Very convenient if you ask me. Also made installing it a breeze.

Awesome! I like your setup! I will have to post pictures of the setup we have at work. I don't work till Saturday though. We have the same machine piped up into the loft, and then it comes in down under the bench just like yours only there's a stretch hose, and we just have a mount that the hose clips into on the side of our bench with a toggle switch to turn the machine on. I think we might order one of those holster vac's for our bench just for the convinience of not having to flick a switch all the time. I'm sure we would keep the end on the hose he have now on the hose if we got a holster vac though just because its easier to use when cleaning out machines. Here's a pic of the hose end we have at work, only this is mine at home that I use when servicing vacs on my bench.

I still have to move my inlet under my desk though, as I hate having the hose hanging out on top of my desk. It seems to always get in the way :P I will probably do that tonight. Here's the bulky hose connected to the inlet on my bench/desk.

Daniel :-)
