Very nice Lux.Rear bearing is sleeve with thick felt under round cap.Should be wet with oil and checked at periodic service.This may help.These gave very little trouble if not abused. |

Thanks, Rugsucker. Might have my local vacuum cleaner dealer check it out. I'm a newbie and haven't been dealing with these things for very long.:) Do you by chance repair, etc. Electrolux vacuum cleaners? |

Jimmy. Noises like that are almost always bearing related, especially from sintered bearings.
