Very nice, the suction on those machines is phenomenal.

Sadly my did not have success with that canister line. We had ours from approximately 1992-1997. I remember because it was only about 4 years old when it died. It was replaced with a Hoover PowerMax S3603-040 canister on September 23, 1997, one day before my birthday. I considered it a birthday gift in a way!!

We had the Jet Flo MC-9527. It had the gas pump handle and otherwise looks exactly like yours.

Around 4 years old, the on/off switch on the canister broke. Got it repaired for $50. Between 5 -6 years old, the whole unit smoked up our basement. Our basement was an in home dental office so he had to cancel his first few patients for the day.

I was always checking bags, and ensuring the filter was clean. Not supposed to wash those filters because they were electrostatic. Belts stretched often on that machine. I found it better running in the "Rugs" setting cause I thought the slightly less suction was better for the power head. My dad always wanted the machine to run on "Rugs with Full Power" setting though as he figured more suction was better cleaning.

Hoping ours was a lemon. If I saw one at a yard sale, thrift store or otherwise in reasonable condition I would get it!

Those are very nice Panasonics!

We had similarly shaped Panasonic cylinders here in the UK but without P/N.

I'm just curious, since I see you've posted a couple of links. How does one browse your inventory or make a purchase if they don't have (or don't want) Facebook? Do you have a homepage?

Nice Panasonic there!

Would you be able to snap a picture of the Ratings Plate on the bottom? I want to see if the vac says "Made in Japan." Just interested in knowing if Panasonic was importing these vacs in the late 1980's....

Thanks!
