Close Up

I need to clean it up,but thats no problem, its in very good shape for 50 years old .This is not only the first hose to ever have a pistol grip, but notice , Kenmore also had direct connect and wires in the hose, most other companies didnt have these features until much later...Now all I have to do is find the L shaped Powermate that went with it, I would really like to find the Whispertone cleaner, which was a step up from my machine.

Very nice find, Hans! That looks like such a neat hose. And I was totally unaware that Kenmore made that type of hose before the 1980's. I can honestly say I thought the Electrolux 1205 would have been the first to have direct connections, but I guess I was wrong!

Just goes to show ya always learn something new every day.

Hans, when did they do away with their original pn and introduce the L shape?

L Shape...

The L shaped power nozzle was produced two years, 1961-1962, before it was the small, triangular powermate, after the L shape was the small rectangular Powermate.

Wow, what are the chances that would show up? Congrats, Hans. I am going to dig out my Kenmore brochure with the pictures of the power nozzles. For some reason, my brochure does not include your Model 75, but it does have the 90, 80, 60 and 40 and 30.

Cheers. John L.

John...

I think the 75 was a leftover...I have the owners manual for that machine, and for some reason, the 75 isn't shown, but, there is a loose insert with it on it???

Hans - I have not been able to figure out how to convert the pages from Acrobat to jpg. I may just try and email them to you as Acrobat attachments. John
