Electrolux Commercial CA. I bought it at a San Bernardino thrift store for $25.00. It had a Olympia hose with a pigtail and a Super J Power Nozzle. I found a nice turquoise Model G hose it shares the PN with my Model G. ![]() |

My Electrolux Commemorative edition. It was never built to be sold, but rather given as prizes to top sales staff and branch managers. According to research, they made only 1000 of them total. I consider mine to be a little extra special though, because it was awarded to Gary Griffen who was the CEO of Electrolux at the time!

The rare vacuum I have, which is in storage and I can't get to it to take a picture of it, is a Westinghouse tank-the type on metal runners. It's the same model as the one from the episode of I Love Lucy where Lucy buys a vacuum from a door to door salesman and then has to go door to door to try to sell it. I don't have the hose or any attachments and the cord needs to be replaced, but I just love the look of it.

I have a couple that may be somewhat rare. I just got a eureka freedom cordless upright from a vacuum shop. It is in really good shape, but it doesn't have the battery. I also have a white kenmore "proformance" upright, that looks alot like the whispertone/panasonic uprights of the 1990's, not self propelled. I have a kenmore self propelled that has the "power port" that is grey and dark grey, that is 7.5 amps, made by whirlpool. The original fantom, my eureka world vac bravo 2, my regina housekeeper, fantom fury limited, and kenmore destinys( pretty much the fantoms in gereral) are probably more rare among the vacuums I have. Also, my blue kenmore magicord canister. Will post pics soon.

BVC TURBINET 3 , When I Brought it, it had the cable coming out of the blower port, there was no handle for it and no hose or attachments set, I first made up a central vacuum hose for it, and then after that I changed the cord from coming out of the blower port to coming out of the surface mounted switch, so that way I could use the blower port, and just recently I had installed a 1980s Kirby attachment set to it so that way it has a dedicated attachment set for it, It doesn’t have amazing suction, but it’s got quite a lot of capacity for the size and age

I'm going to say it's probably this very old eureka, although I do have a Montgomery awards relabeled Hoover upright in a rust color, but I'm betting there was a few of those.

Wow - rarest would be difficult to pin down. Have a few very rare machines.
I suppose I should start with the 1911 BVC Britvac and 1920s Goblin model 40, Then the Classic and the President model S341.179. The last one that comes to mind is my Ruton R500 Although I will probably think of more lol. |

As always, you share a series of interesting vacuums. And While I'm not certain of the name of the first one in your line-up, I can tell you that it's very similar to 'The Baby Daisy,' which dates back to 1890. It was called the 'Baby Daisy' because it was the portable version of the 'Daisy,' which was massive, and most likely stationary.
I had the opportunity to see the Baby Daisy at the Hoover Historical Center in August of 1979 and was very impressed. What you have seems to follow the same basic structure, bellows to create suction. Thank's for sharing. Alex Taber.

And speaking of the 'Baby Daisy,' there was an upright version made in America, In Ludlow, Vermont, to be exact. It was called the 'San-Vac,' and you pumped the bellows with upper handle as shown it the pic. I did a patent search when I first acquired it, which was July of 1976, and like the Baby Daisy goes back to 1890. Many companies were experimenting with designs of bellows vacuum cleaners, and this was one of the better ones.
