Today I finally got my Electrolux Nimble. I bought it for $31 on ebay. The seller sold it for parts and/or repair because the hose suction wasn't the strongest he said. I am not quite sure what the issue was but it works amazing!! The suction is nice and strong. The only thing it is missing is the turbo tool. The other toy I got was a Bissell Helix. This was a trash find. WOW was it filthy. I cleaned it thoroughly and it runs great. The only attachment it has is the turbo tool but thats ok by me. I have always wanted one of these for some reason and for the price of a few hours of cleaning, it was worth it!

I looked seriously at a Nimble, but decided against it. Would be interested to know your thoughts!

I have a Nimble. I had looked at a Vax Mach Air and a DC24 but was impressed with how solid the Nimble was and it has a metal sole plate around the brush bar. The attachments are simple to use with the quick draw hose and I love the 3 in 1 upholstery tool. Suction stays pretty constant and maintenance is a doddle. You can wash the bin and cyclone assembly and it dries over night in the airing cupboard. The two filters are easy to clean as well.I I wash everything and clean the filters every four weeks ans empty the bin after every use. I am always amazed how much it picks up, really gets the fine grit and dust from deep down in the carpet. I also love the fact it is relatively quiet. For a bagless cleaner it is a great performer.

StarryBlues4, This model's not sold with the turbo tool in the UK, the model in white is and I should think it is the same in the US.

Paul...

Would be correct the green and white model, which over here in the US I believe is a Lowes exclusive, is the one that comes with the Turbo brush.

I the Uk, yes the green and white model comes with the turbo brush and retails ( or did retail ) for £30 more than the model I have. I kinda regret not getting the model with the turbo brush. One downside to the Nimble I forgot to mention is the wand is not round, it's a rounded square and other vacuum attachments don't fit. A small niggle I know.

That Bissell was very popular when it first came out. I never tried that particular model. Do you know if it runs better or different from other bagless Bissells? What is the "Big" deal that made that one more popular from other Bagless Bissells?

I've tried the Bissell Cleanviews, Bissell PowerForce, Bissell PowerForce Turbo, they're reasonable cleaners for the price. All sound like they have the exact same motor and mostly same agitator. They're much better than the bagless Eureka Maximas in my opinion!!!
