Hi all,
Cleaning out my collection and have an Electrolux Olympia (body only) that I'd love to see go to someone who would appreciate it. All I'd ask for is for you to pay for shipping. I bought it years ago and then promptly acquired a Silverado so this one hasn't seen much use from me.

If you're interested, shoot me an email and I'll send you a few pictures. It may be a week or two before I can get it boxed up and shipped out, but if you're interested in it, I'd be happy to send it.

Email is chenning@q.com

Thanks!
Chris

Hi all,
Steve got to me first so I'll be packing it up and sending to him.

I'm cleaning out my collection so I'll have a few more machines that I'll offer up to folks here on the forum before trying to list on ebay or craigslist. I hate to have some of these go to someone who won't appreciate them.

Thanks everyone for the interest!

Chris

Steve actually replied within 3 minutes of the original posting. Good timing I guess. I'm not trying to create hard feelings for anyone.

I am sorry if I caused any hard feelings between anyone, that certainly wasn't my intention. I simply happened to come across the posting and replied to it, and Chris must have just put it up as even he commented on how quicky I had responded. I really like the Olympia One and that was why I responded, that was the machine my mom and dad had in their home all of my life, so it just brought back good memories and I wanted it for my collection. Again, I certainly hope I didn't cause any hardship between anyone, I most assuredly didn't mean for that to happen. Thanks for understanding!

No hard.....

feelings whatsoever. I was in the right place at the wrong time.Tongue out It happens....I actually only have LUX up to the 1205. However, I bought a new Diamond Jubilee back in the 80's under duress from the then wife and mother-in-law.  It didn't last without problems...although when we were together, I made sure it worked fine. The Sidekick came out after I purchased the DJ and we bought that as well. I thought it was pretty cool as a carpeted stair cleaner. We never used it for anything else. I was always amazed at how people would keep going with a vacuum making noise....almost as if it were going to repair itself.

I just bought a DJ about three weeks ago, my very first one, but I really like the design of it, it's a real nice color combo, but I've heard horror stories about how the motors didn't hold up and a lot of other issues with them! I'm having to start over practically on my vacuum collection, my old collection consisted mostly of Hoovers, but I have always liked Electrolux vacuums (that's what my mom has used all my life), so I began collecting them. I only own one plastic bodied one (a Diplomat), but I have many of the older ones, from XXX (model 30's), all the way up to my Commemorative Edition Ultralux and many of certain models in between. The Olympia One was the only vacuum I remember my mom using until I bought her a new UltraLux 2000 a few years back. I now have her Olympia One and I have been picking up those as I can. My all time favorite model (and I can't really give you a good reason why) is the Super J Electrolux. I have somewhere around 7 or 8 of them in my collection and I'll keep picking them up as I can find them. Anyway, good luck on your collecting adventures and let me know if there's a specific model you want, I may just have a duplicate of it that I could part with! The only ones I won't let go will be my 1205 in it's original box that's practicaly brand new, and of course my commemorative ed!
