I found this on a local Kijiji. I've never heard of this model, and I can't seem to find any info online about it. What is it's vintage, and who really made it?

Any ideas?

Guy

If I had a close up of that variable suction dial, I'd hazard it was either a Sharp or a Panasonic. The actual ad though lists the model as "SSMC-V935" and Panasonic use the "MC" coding in Europe with additional "N" or "E" at the end before the number.

Also appears that the dust bags for the Panasonic Jetflow bagged upright MC 655 or MC 630/35 (shown) are also suitable for the Singer Quantum. Thought the floor head is plainly different, there are still some identical features like motor vents and brush roll on/off switch to the side of the hood at the back.

Guy, I used one exactly like this to vacuum a beauty shop in exchange for getting my hair permed back in the day. (I know, I know, it was the 80's & that's why I have no hair now LOL!!) Anyways, their's was identical to this and was badged as a Sharp. They originally had a Kirby Sanitronic & then added this to their arsenal.

As I recall it was a good cleaner. Especially given the fact it was sucking up cut hair off of flat office grade carpet.

On a side note: looks like there are plenty of bags & belts to be found on Ebay if you should need them.
