Well... it looks like the German Karcher company (known in North America for their high pressure commercial washers) is now selling a "Rainbow-like" water vac....

See the video below...

hello brian

I have been curious about these machines and would love to try one out. I happen to fancy the wet dry vacuums that they have due to design as they don't seem all too bad by looks, but we all know looks can be deceiving.

Hey Mike! I second the motion!

Love the looks and features of that Karcher canister vac! Especially those "Quick-Click" attachments hidden in their own "trunk"!!!

Too bad we can't get these vacs in North America....

This is probably the 5 or 6 generation of this model, They have been producing water filtration vacuums since the early 80's

I thought those little yellow round ones were cute too, but I wish they had a power nozzle option. It doesn't matter anyway if we can't get them here...

It doesn't look like the water vac has a separator like the Rainbow... it looks more like the canister model of the Bissell Big Green that is also a water filter vac, but it just throws the dirt on top of the water instead of utilizing a separator.

It sort of resembles the CleanSy...

that made a ripple a few years ago.

Here is a link. Apparently the CleanSy has been superseded with a more advanced model

Funny that

this would come up here now. I am listing one of these on eBay this evening. I had been looking all over the internet for information on the unit, and could only find an old Amazon listing. The model number did not yeild any info, but Aquaselect helped alot.... so thanks!

The Aqua select is a rather good water filter vacuum. it does feature its own take on a separator system.

I much prefer the design to the rainbow or other water filtration vacs because you don't have to dismantle the whole unit to fill or empty the water container.
I tried one a few months ago , very impressed and am not a big fan of water filtration

Are the Aquaselects still made?

Are they available in the US?

It does not look like the Aquaselects are sold in North America - though the actor doing the voice-over in the YouTube video is definitely American or Canadian.

I guess vac retailers could petition Karcher North America to try and bring over a 110 volt version to this side of the Atlantic. They seem to have a solid commercial vacuum division here...offering, among other vacs, a nice bright yellow commercial Sebo Felix!

Cool Machine

Never used a water filter vac like this - Is that floor tool the actual power nozzle for the carpet? It almost looks like a straight suction hard floor tool.

From the looks of it

That is just a straight suction floor tool which is a shame.
