It looks like a D3 with a 1650 power nozzle, it came out in 1980-1981 around there.

Yes, sir.  That is indeed a D3 that was made from 1980 to 1986.

They are asking $40 for it... Good deal?

I would definitely go for it! Especially since it includes the original boxes and the attachment caddy. From what I've heard, the caddy is pretty uncommon. I would go for it in a heartbeat.

Originally, the D3A still had the Eureka-made R-1024 (type G) power nozzle as an option, for the first six months of D3 production/sale. Then (October 1980), Rexair replaced that with its own design, model R-1650 (type A).

In late 1981, the PN receptacle changed from a 3-wire design to a 2-wire design, but the main hookup to the wall outlet was still 3-wire. This model was known as the D3C, with the power nozzle becoming model R-1650 (type C).

The best Rainbow ever made probably. I've owned 3 or 4 of them. This one is awesome because you have the boxes for it also. If you don't sell it, call me @ 239-603-2591. My name is Rob

I'd buy it in a heartbeat. :)

$40 is a GREAT deal, especially with the original boxes.
