Yes, I love the wild colors too, but that starting bid is ridiculus. I have a machine just like this in my collection, with all the matching green tools as well, but the vinal on my hose is even the same green, and mine has the fancy green rug nozzle. Trg

That be one funky vacuum cleaner! OOWEE! Git down! Kiss myself! In other words, I find it charming.

Just reminded me of Ruby Rhod, the actually very straight yet camp character from the fifth element played by chris tucker.

makes Zorg look positively restrained on the fashion/personality level.

Interesting design. Can't be too bad in performance either. I was just looking at the cleaning competition hall of fame and in 2003 the post war straight suction class was won with one of those.

Hippy Vacuum

I personally thought of it as one of the Hippy vacuums.
You know, "Love, peace, make love not war" Having lived
in that time It was not a mainline cleaner with all of the
tried and tested, Hoovers, Kirby's,lux's and Eureka growing in
its quest for the retail market share.
It sold in the catalogs, and catalog stores of the time.
Good suction, repairable just not good engineering. I am
surprised that there are any still around. The toss it out
mind set were the customers that bought them.
