What are the differences between the new Sanitaire Uprights and the older Eurekas? I'm interested in getting one of these style vacuums, but I don't want to pay a ton of money for one of these vacuums. Do the older uprights deep clean as well as the sanitaires? Can the Eurekas be fitted with the ST bag system instead of the F&G bags?

Ian,

I would recommend you try to find a Sanitaire SC886, SC888, SC899 or SC24 which is from the early 1980s through 1995.

Is this vacuum as good as the TOL Blue Line Sanitaire? They both seem to have a lot of the same features, but this one costs a lot less than the S675.

Nice machine,but

If you have the money this looks like a good deal, however if you are patient and enjoy picking these machine are very plentafull I found a sanitaire 887 built in 2010 for five dollers at our local swapmeet, all it needed was a new fan and belt and this machine cleans and looks like new. Most used sanitairs in my area sell used for about $20.00.
