pretty easy

hey there,
that is right, it is a carpet cleaner to be used with absorbent carpet powders.
I had it myself for some years but the leaflet is gone.

Here is what you want to do:

a) assembly
take the long handle (green if it is its own, white if it is of a Kobold stickvac), press the green button and insert into the swivel joint. let go of the button, the handle will click into place. take the mains cord (flex) and fit it into the cable clamp close to the upper handle. This way the cable will run behind the machine and will not come close to the brushes.
If the brushes are not fitted yet: Flip the machine over and pull open the orange side flaps. Push the roller brushes in sideways, make sure the spiraling bristles will run towards the centre of the cleaning head. If not, just swap left and right brush. Shut the side flaps.

b) cleaning
sprinkle the absorbent powder of your choice onto the rugs. To start the unit step on the red pedal. Slowly run the machine forward and back again placing each streak parallely next to the other. Turn around 90° and repeat the process until all powder is gone.

After drying time (some 30 to 60 mins) thoroughly vacuum with an upright or with a power nozzle.

c) maintenance
Safety feature: If items get stuck in the brushes, the machine will turn itself off and the red light on top comes on. Unplug the unit, let it cool for 20 mins and press the red reset button next to the light.

Clean-up after work: Open the orange side flaps and undo the brushes. Rinse under the tap, let them dry completely. Clean residual powder from under the machine with a soft cloth or brush.

When should brushes be replaced?
Old type (white ribbed rubber foam): Once you can't see the grooves anymore -> replace.
New type (black with white bristles): Once the bristles do not peek out under the unit for at least 1-2 millimetres -> replace.

Storage: Wind cord around 2 cable hooks. To undo turn the lower swiveling hook 180°
Hang unit up like a broom (top of handle) or take off handle and put the unit in a drawer.

d) parts & consumables
brushes:
Original Vorwerk old (pic)
Original Vorwerk new (pic)
generic no-name (in vac shops)

powders:
Original Vorwerk Kobosan
Sebo duo
Dyson Zorb
Sapur, Thomson, Vanish, generic (all at chemists or supermarkets)
