Hi! We have an old eureka jr handheld vacuum that we got 20yrs ago from a customer that was going to throw it out. Recently we found it on a shelf & have tried to determine it's age & value (if anything). It actually works & incredibly it has a 20ft cord. There is still dirt in the bag but concerned about trying to remove it from the port as the material may rip. Amazingly it still looks good! If anyone has the time to reply, we would certainly appreciate it. Is there a market to sell vintage vacs like this? Thanks in advance!

Hello Lynn.

This Eureka Jr hand vacuum would have to have been made & sold sometime after September 15th, of 1931; this due to the inclusion of the actual patent # on the manufacturer's plate.

I have included both a screen print, as well as the link to the actual Google search of the patent # shown on the plate. (SEE below)

Most of my knowledge with vacuums is focused on machines designed, with any of Jim Kirby's patents. Thus my assistance to you is limited.

Others on the forum here, may be able to give you a more precise timeline.

As for value, that is as much, or as little as the [eyes of the beholder] bidder/buyer is willing to pay for an item.

Also, welcome to the forum.

Cheers & hagd/n all,

Bill
