here is it with the hose attached and boy was this hose dirty when i first got it but a soak in the bath soon sorted that out, i also had to spray some WD40 on the adater as it was incredibly dificult to move let alone lift the belt, now it glides in there like there is no tommorrow

Hoover "Lightweight Upright" Models in the USA

kirbyclassiciii's profile picture
In the USA, Hoover's "Lightweight Upright" model numbers were:
Model 115 (c. 1950-c. 1952) (equivalent of UK model 119)
Lark Model 12 (1953-1956)
Lark Model 14 (1955-1957)
Model 1330 (1967-1968) (equivalent of UK model 1334E)
Model 1340 (1969-1971) (equivalent of UK model 1346)
Model 1348 (1972-1977) (equivalent of UK model 1346A)
Model U1025 (1978-1980) (equivalent of UK model U1012)

With the exception of the 115/119, the trim colors will vary between the UK and USA versions.
Model 1330 is colored white with grey faceplate, and jonquil green bag
Model 1340 is colored shades of "seal greige" throughout
Model 1348 is colored "seal greige" with garland green faceplate and bag
Model U1025 is colored almond with pale honey faceplate and plaid bag

I also want to point out that the 1330 Lightweight Upright from 1967 was the only such model to be fully imported from the UK, and that all models from the 1340 onward only had their motor units imported from the UK, with the handles and bags being added on in the USA, at the North Canton facility.
