I have since began rebuilding my vac collection after having to clear it out a couple of years back for space/financial reasons. I am happy to say that I am back on track and rebuilding the collection has begun (and to my surprise, with the encouragement of my partner Michael) he gets a kick out of it and I have caught him eye balling a couple of electrolux's on ebay myself! Anyways, this has been a good week.. I have scored a Kirby Classic Omega my dream machine with a COMPLETE set of attachments and boxes, for only $30.00 AND a guy I work with is selling me his Kirby Tradition for 35.00. So now, I have a Kirby 516, Kirby Dual Sanitronic 50, Kirby dual Sanitronic 80 (in bad need of help) a Classic Omega, a Tradition and a Heritage I. I'm on my way guys!

I have been looking at alot of convertible models on ebay... I definately need to add one to my collection. I had a Royal that I had bought but quickly sold it.. I didn't care for it at all.. it was clumsy to use and extaordinarily loud. I didn't like the method used to place the belt back on the fan shaft either. I would like to find a convertible model like my mother had before she traded it for her Kirby Heritage back in 81. The hoover was kind of a yellowish-gold color with matching bag, no headlight and had the yellowish colored hood with the white/ivory colored base. I'm amazed at how much used convertibles go for on ebay, they seem to be the vac to have from a collectors point of view! Maybe I'll trip over one someday at a flea market or thrift shop. I'd like to have one of the more antique aluminum casts hoovers too.
