Nothing says solid quality like a great Electrolux.

Never realized.......

pnluxconvlvr's profile picture
.......that I had made a "timeline" with the way I placed them until I walked by my office yesterday :)

Just restored an original PN2 with aqua sheath and cords.

Love having both the original PNs that came with the 1205. The aqua color really makes an Electrolux stand out.

Your machines look great! What a nice silverado. That is my favorite model! I had a 50th jubilee at one point just like yours. They are great machines as well.

Tyler:

Really beautiful, pristine-looking 1205! I have an aqua sheath for my PNs (thanks again for helping with my PN-2), but not the aqua cords you do.

I do believe I detect signs of kitty friends at your house, LOL!

That Silverado came to me with webs.......

pnluxconvlvr's profile picture
.......all over it and while I was wiping it down was amazed at the fact that it did not have a mark it. Not even a slight ding. The bag chamber was so clean it had no odor. Even the silver and black lettering and Silverado Deluxe decal were as new. :)

I have come to the conclusion........

pnluxconvlvr's profile picture
.......that some Electrolux vacuums seem to be in better condition that were left without a power nozzle. Maybe due to less use? Makes you wonder.

I always wondered why the dark aqua PN2 elbow.......

pnluxconvlvr's profile picture
.......seemed not to match anything until I restored the one that goes to the 1205 and noticed for the first time it matches the trim around the automatic controls. :)

Hi Sandy

I put a link in a post a while back where you can find an aqua cord. I may have to look up the post myself. :)

Very true!

I've only got two Electroluxes in my collection, so I'll picture the best built one, the oldest of course!

Thanks Tyler! I just love this machine. It has strong suction and is really quiet for a 63 year old machine! It looks really nice too :-)

Daniel :-)

Next Up

compactelectra's profile picture

In the series - the J.  This is a Super J.  Actually the next one up was the Golden J.  Have the Gold L too, just didn't get a shot of it.  Sorry about the dust on the B-8.  It's a daily driver for the housekeeper for the wood floors.

Thought I Would Post This As Well

I found a brand-new never used PN2.  Can't remember where I got it, but probably from Ebay.  What a find, huh?  Next to that is a well-used PN-2.

WOW those are nice !

That 1205 has such a gleeming metal top. I have read that the embossed (elk grain) metal bodied 1205 had a more powerful motor than the smooth finished ones. Awesome PN2. The aqua nozzle plug is rare. NICE !

My humble attempt at re-creating the LX Owner Manual  Full Ensemble picture.

I've always had a devoted affection for the beautifully complex 'Boat Anchor'.

The 'Brain' inside the door mount.

Electrolux's first, the brain detects when the bag is full (according to it's setting), the large diaphram trips the door to pop open whilst shutting off the motor. As the motor winds down the suction reduction trips the bag ejector sled and tosses the bag out onto the floor.

This is all automatic and yet each stage can be adjusted and user-defeated to simply change bags at Milady's whim or place the sensing mechanisms in a limbo state temporarily.

Note the standard to which the original brain was built and the Airframe Green paint on the insides. Excepting the elimination of the bag ejector mechanism on subsequent Electroluxs and moving the diaphragm workings entirely to the bag door interior, this is the same Brain sensing gizmo used by both Electrolux Canada and USA in their vacuums to the present day. Of course many cast metal parts have been reproduced in hard clear styrene plastic.

One more glamor shot - the 1955 wheeled LXI with the 1952 LX.

The LXI incorporated many significant 'improvements' and conveniences while further increasing the weight. :-)
