I picked this up on ebay a NIB Hoover Economy Scrubber Polisher made by Hoover Australia in Feb 1971...

It's never seen the light of day since it was boxed up all those years ago....

This was the entry level model back then it only came with the standard brush set.

The next model was the styled in mandarin blue to match the 6525C Convertible of the time and had two sets of brushers and three sets of pads.

And the TOL was the Shampoo Polisher in the same orange colour as the economy polisher and also the Dynamatic and Super Constellation of the range.

Those contour-shaped Hoover polisher hoods (used worldwide, it seems) are so retro, and the orange one is especially eye-catching. Going by the attached 1970 ad, it seems that the 'E' on the model suffix indicates 'Economy'.

I actually located this old thread in my search for the "Super Constellation", a new term to me that I noticed in a 1971 Australian ad in an online newspaper database.  Although Hoover (Australia) Ltd. used the model name on the tilt model with its piggy-back tool caddy to distinguish it from the standard model in the attached 1968 and 1971 ads, I noticed that it had previously been used in other ads going back to the '50s for standard-design models presumably due to the "floats on air" feature. Anyway, after locating a photo of the Super Constellation Model 844 (I find the color combo striking) I then set out to locate additional information on the other models mentioned in the initial post plus some other colour mates produced in the 1970s (or late 1960s in at least one model).

That led me to discover the cleaners' color names of Mandarin Blue & Ivory and Burnt Orange & Ivory (and Seal Greige in the Super Constellation's scheme). So, I decided to collect online photos of all the colour mates I could of the two colour schemes and organize them on word documents that I will attach to my next reply.

First, here are some related newspaper ads:

1. 1958 Mar 23 SYDNEY MORNING HERALD—"Super Constellation" in Sandalwood and Sky Blue

2. 1967 Feb 23 SYDNEY MORNING HERALD—"Automatic Scrubber-Polisher" Model #5464B, "Scrubber-Polisher" Model #5134B & "Polisher" Model #5134E (showing the 3 floor conditioner levels and their standard equipment)

3. 1968 Sep 24 THE AGE—"Super Constellation" (tilt-style "Super" and standard-style)

4. 1970 Apr 8 SYDNEY MORNING HERALD—"Scrubber-Polisher", "Lark" ("Junior" in the UK & Europe), "Constellation" Model #864 & Convertible Model #6525B

5. 1971 Aug 18 SYDNEY MORNING HERALD—"Super Constellation" in Burnt Orange & Seal Greige; "Standard Constellation" in Mandarin Blue & Ivory

6. 1972 Nov 19 SYDNEY MORNING HERALD—OZ vacuum models #427, "Lark", "Convertible"

7. 1974 Nov3 SYDNEY MORNING HERALD—"Convertible" Model #652, "Lark" Model #1346, "Herald" Model #427 (I had never heard of that model name)

8. Photo of a Model #0212A in Sky Blue and Sandalwood (according to an ad) that would match the Super Constellation in the 1958 ad. I was unsuccessful in locating an online photo of the Super Constellation.
