Here are a few snaps of my new Miele Antares that arrived yesterday.

I haven't had much of a chance to play with her yet, but am looking forward to many hours of fun.

Final Shot.

Don't let her diminutive size fool you. She may be small, but she's mighty powerful

Many Thanks to Andy Weter

I want to thank Andy Weter for making this great addition to my collection possible.

And, thanks Terry. She's a fun little vacuum.

Your'e more than welcome Mike! Isn't that shade of red with the silver accents to die for?

Miele

I may just have to think about purchasing one. My only concern is the attachments. I use the vacuum for everything and need a good dusting brush and upholstery tool.

The only one I have seen up close and personal was Fred Nelson's machine. I can't remember what model it was, but I do remember that it sensed the speed that the machine needed to be running at for maxium cleaning effectivness.
The power mate was also very nice. Quiet as well.

Morgan...

Splurge. You deserve it. Some of the retro colors are fabulous. I'd go for the S5 series with the new vortex motor. My favorites are the Aquarius and the Gemini. The SEB236 power nozzle is a must!

The tools are very unimpressive; however, I'm trying to hunt down the old style dusting brush. If I find it I'll get one for you as well. The horse hair dusting brush that came with my s324i is great.

Floor brush

The new Miele floor brush that is shown above is excellent! It swivels and angles. I have a thrift store Flamenco2 but as I see the new Mieles at Desert Vacuum, it makes me want a brand new one. And i love the blue colors the best!

Splurge

I say go for it Marty. You won't be disappointed. I strongly suggest that you get the SEB236 power nozzle too. It's amazing. Keep us posted.

The Meile dealer near me sold an Antares to a nice woman while I was at his store. He gave her the complete demo she was impressed and she bought it right there.Currently I have the Orion,Capricorn,Red Velvet and White pearl vacuums.Like them. The Smaller Meiles like the Antares and Orion have the same motor as the larger Capricorn,Red Velvet-etc.The smaller ones are pretty handy-use mine quite a lot.Fun machine!

Wow Rex!

My hat is off to you. That's an impressive collection. I was lucky enough to try Ida's Red Velvet (and, yes, for those of you who haven't seen one, it does feel like velvet...). I'm tempted to get the Aquarius just because I love that retro turquoise color.

Rex, do you recall what year you purchased your White Pearl? I was thinking it came out about the same time I bought my s324i--10 years ago, but may be way off.

Mike-got a good deal on the Meiles I now have-also have an Art "Roses" Meile upright.I hardly use it because I don't want to damage the "Roses" finish on the body-also use the ones I have carefully so as not to damage their finishes.Truely unique and effective machines.I think I bought my white Peal either 1997 or 98.Was from a Meile dealer in Woodbridge,Va.He brought it to my house and gav e a home demo! unusual for a Meile dealer. The dealer in my area is trying to become a Meile "Diamond" dealer-hard to do in the small NC town I live in.The other Meile dealer is a 'diamond" dealer and he is in Chapel Hill,NC near Raleigh.I am also giving my credit card a rest-but loved those Meiles and had to have them!
