I cannot remember the topic, but I pretty sure it was you who posted a link to a Dutch manufacturer that outsourced to China. I clicked on the link and saw, to my surprise, several vacuums I recognized, including the standard older style Oreck uprights. Could you repost the link, please?

Thanks

@Trebor . . .

Hi Trebor,

I'm sorry but I don't recall. The only Dutch maker I remember linking to was Philips (not totally Dutch), who sold a branded machine later known as the Dutch-Tech vacuum Oreck eventually came to sell with the Wessel Werk PN.

I did fish around using the search thing here but had no success. If you tell me what the link was, I can probably tell you the reason why I included it. Sorry that I can't be more helpful.

Venson...

It had to do with manufacturing and outsourcing. The Dutch mfg. outsources vacs to its, or a facility in China and private labels them. Oreck was not specifically mentioned in the post, but when I clicked on the link and looked at the available product I saw what I swear were the classic square Oreck uprights. It was not a company I had ever heard of before.

Thanks, Trebor

Another piece of the puzzle...

I'm pretty sure it had to do with the source for Fakir vacuum cleaners. There was a link in the post to a mfg website home page, and then the products page showed a variety of types of vacuums, with verbiage about the private label options.

Thank you, Gsheen...

That is indeed the site. Interesting how many different brands are represented on their web page.

Ivac manufactures alot of machines that are sold under different names . The company made its name with the up350 upright pictured bellow. This machine has been sold as an oreck , wetrock, karcher, wap,dryrug to name a few. The fast lable is Ivacs in hous brand. If you have enough $$$ to order a product run they will manufacture any of there vacuums in your choice of colour to your specification
