Mad Men season premier featured a Turquoise Hoover Constellation.

This season takes place beginning in June of 1965. Seems like it was a correct model for that time.

The vacuum was set off to the side of a scene toward the end of the two hour episode when Don Draper's wife Megan is attempting to clean up their apartment on the day after a surprise birthday party she hosted for him (for which he was not exactly appreciative). She doesn't actually get to use the vacuum since Don comes home from work and they get distracted into "other" activities.

Haha! I saw it too! I jumped off of the couch and paused the show to take photos of the vacuum with my phone... I'd post the full photo, but, err... there's something else in the frame that's not appropriate for this forum, so I did some cropping...

I thought the show took place in 1968 -- still, the model 454 would have only been a few years old. It looks like they took a model 82 rug nozzle and painted it to match the vacuum, though. That model would have had the common Constellation rug nozzle in taupe.

:-)

This season is 1967. I was an extra in one of the episodes that will air this season and that is what the set told me. I play a restaurant patron.
