Hello I am looking for the coupling that the hose fits into to attach it to the vacuum cleaner. Does anyone have close up pictures of the part that fits on the hose? I can't find a picture anywhere that shows this part. Thanks bannie
does not come with a fitting or coupler The Sanitronic VII Kirby featured the first hose with the universal coupler which would fit directly without needing this part on the intake where the fan opening is located, or the opening for the bag assembly. Models prior the the S-VII , came with the metal part you are mentioning called the suction coupler . this part can fit on your vaccuum and it would run since it would activate the safety switch located beneath the fan opening. This part can be purchased used at vacuum repair shops that repair old Kirbys . It has not been manufactured since the early 60's. It can also be purchaced on e'Bay ,but usually along with the attachment kit. It is a metal attchment shaped something like a cup with two hooks at the wide end where it attaches.
