my freebie hoover slimline from the georgetown, tx mini meet got it's spa turn today. still runs great, just needed a few hours of tlc. cleaned all the grime and dirt, waxed the metal and mequire protected the hose and bumper, 3 in 1 oiled the wheels and greased the castor bearing. it swivels like it's brand new again with no squeaky wheels!

thanks again dave for the slimline! has just a good of suction as a connie!

I love the look of the Slimline but they are like pulling a brick across carpet LOL. They're not even that manouverable on hardfloors with their tiny wheels and boxy shape,, still in all it's always nice to have one in the collection.

It's hard to see contest results on a carpet with a patt

Not sure I'd put all of that "stuff" on a good carpet. It looks like y'all had great fun. How did that GE floor washer work out?

I almost have every color now.

Some elude me. They were a bit bulky, but, they are very strong and are easy to store... thus "slimline". The fact that they use the same tools, wheels, and bags as others do was : economical, smart, cost-effective.

It looks great! Does that floor tool adjust somehow for carpet and bare floors or is it just carpets?

Slimline rug-floor

Agree it looks good. There was knob in back of nozzle to allow bristle strip to float on 2 springs on lock down for hard floors.Best choice for wood floors was optional floor only nozzle as in deluxe upright kits and others.

There was actually a third position for the brush in that style of nozzle-by pushing the brush all the way in and holding it there while you.turned the lever to the central (floor) position with your other hand, you could lock the brush in.a fully retracted position to reduce.drag and pushing effort on shags or other high-pile rugs, which otherwise might simply be pushed around the floor by the nozzle, instead of the nozzle gliding over the rug's surface.
