I bought these 2 at an estate auction this morning, spent the day cleaning them up.

Hello

I don't know a whole lot about Filter Queen. They're nice looking machines. But I wanted to share...a few summers back I was just playing around at my friends vacuum shop and I took a Kirby Classic Omega and a Filter Queen (I don't know what model, just dark brown)...anyway, I used the Kirby Omega as the Power head and the Filter Queen as the Tank and built a Kirbiqueen. I attached the Kirby hose to the exhaust port and ran it up the side of the handle, then attached the Filter Queen hose to the Kirby hose so the two machines could be used in Tandem for the ultimate in sucking power, lol.

There was no real point to that story just that it was something fun I did once. We put it on the suction meter at the shop and it broke the meter...we decided it might be too dangerous for unskilled vacuumers. Hmmm, I wonder what ever happened to the Kirbiqueen. I will have to look for it on Monday and see if it's still around somewhere.

Looks like you got a great find. Do you mind telling us what wonderful deal you got on them? $$$

I did that once with a Kirby and a Rainbow (Kirbow) The Kirby's exhaust overpowered the Rainbow. I stopped after about half the room so as not to ruin the Rainbow. You wouldn't have that much worry with a Queen because it isn't forcing water up to the motor for the seperator to have to deal with as in the Rainbow.

I won one of them for $15 and the other $18

Kirbysthebest

Glad to know not to try that with a Rainbow now because I was thinking about it. My friend Bruce was concerned that I would burn up the Rainbow though by blowing water up in the motor. Glad you shared that so I know not to do it. But yeah, it worked great with the filterqueen.
