Well this morning was quite eventful. Found 3 vacs and an extra special suprise...
Now, I have decided I am only sticking to collecting Luxes and Kirbys, but the two other ones I could not pass up...

Here is the lux I found...

That is the Hoover Ranger hood. If you take it off you will actually find the base to a BOL Convertible!

What does "bol convertible" mean?

Hey Vacumaniac! Would you consider tradeing the brown dusting brush with the Premier for a white one? I happen to have the GE that uses those brown tools. Congrats on some neat finds. Toby G.

Power head in second photo

The Electrolux powerhead in the second photo is the same as the one my mom had when I was a kid. I haven't seen one of those in years. I have no idea what year my mom's was or model...just that my sister and I always said it was an Electrolux-AntiChrist. I don't know why we hated it so much, but for some reason we did. Our neighbor used to sell that and that's who my mom got it from. Oh well. Anyway, I've sold her a Kirby Sentria now and she loves it. I do wonder what ever happened to her Electrolux though.

ok......

that convertible has a hood called the ranger hood.......it was orginally a british hood syle and thats where the name came form, and it looks larger than a regualr hood simply do to the opitcal illiusion created by the wide headlight, and the fact that it covers the whole base like a full hood....your was one of the second or 3rd models with that hood. there were two meatal based before that. one was orange with a plad bag, and one was almost the same gold color with no headlight and a choc headlight cover, and a gold plad bag........

Those "Ranger" hoods are really nice! I have two in my collection-model U4423 (Olympic blue/oyster white), and model U4521 (camargue blue/platinum gray.)

Here, on the left, is my U4521
