Hey guys

I'm wondering why Hoover changed to 2beater bars on there brushrolls rather than 4? Has anybody compared both brushrolls? What ate the differences is cleaning performance?

Many thanks

:D

because have 2 brushes and 2 beat bars allowed for better sweeping action. beat bars can sweep to a degree, but not as effectively as brush strips. beat bars are more for agitation of the dirt and dust than removal.

Hoover reverted to 4 beater bars & 4 brush agitators, which are known as the "Quadraflex"

Its a shame Hoover no longer puts beater bars on today's brush rolls. :(

Obviously!

I was just excited about getting a machine with lots of positive aggitation!

I was looking at vintage Hoovers yesterday and noticed that they used to use four beater bars.

Contempary is more my thing.

metal beater bars = damage to hard floors and carpet frames.
