Thought I would post a picture of my favorite (..at the moment..) daily drivers and ask you to post a picture or description of yours.

The Gold Crown is my absolute favorite. Bought it from Ben and had the bearings replaced. It runs like brand new.
The upright came from eBay a few years ago. The motor wore out and I had it replaced with a new Sanitaire commercial. Fabulous!

All original, funky avacado and all............

At the bottom is just Zeus's head. That's the closest he'll ever come to "that hated machine"!!!!!

Waiting to hear about your favorites.

That Green Eureka is badass. :P

My Daily Driver is a 2011 Eureka The Boss 1934B

I believe it has a 5 amp motor. I prefer the lower amperage motors to the 7 amp sanitaire motors.

I love your Upright!! That wild moss bag pattern (official Eureka pattern name) was such a pretty line of machines from the 70's

I don't have a favorite driver because I have so many daily drivers. I do get excited when I get out the Fairfax even though it's not the best one I have.

Lovely machines!...

Wow. Fantastic looking machines!

My daily driver at home used to be my Dyson DC23 canister. It worked well on the carpet we had and had tons of suction for cleaning the mattress, etc. Since then we moved into a house built in 1912, lovely mouldings and trim, we tore out all of the carpet and now have bare fir floors. During the fixup we used my Tristar CXL (actually, my first time with Tristar) and it worked really well. The vintage styling and color scheme of the Tristar also looked great in the older house. So the Tristar is now my daily driver at home.

For my work as an apartment manager, my daily driver is a Dustcare 6500C, which was once sold as the Bernina 6500. It's a Tacony-style clean air vac. It's my workhorse vac and gets the daily and dirty jobs. Other vacs I use for work are my Electrolux Prolux for light sweeping (not a lot of deep cleaning, but easy to use for regular light pickup and versatile - you can shut of the brushroll and clean up on bare floor), and my Windsor Versamatic, which I take out when I want a treat.

When I was using it this morning I kept thinking about how wonderful the older 2 position Convertibles really clean. The older Convertibles really dig down deep into the carpet and leave nice lines. The Ultraflex hose along with the Hoover Cleaning tools are such a pleasure to use as well. It doesn’t get much better than this.
