Does anyone have any idea what this model is? It's called the Progress KS. The power nozzle is obviously a Rainbow, but the body looks to be steel. Then there is a rack on the back. Very weird. I wish I could this is in person.

Not anything like a Rainbow

Progress is a German company.  They're still around but they don't make 'em like that any more!  A-1 sold a lot of Progress vacuums back then, and Vorwerk too.  I wonder if the one in the ad was hidden away in the back of the shop and forgotten about.  I used a Progress Mercedes for a couple years with those same attachments.  That powernozzle was a design failure if you ask me.  The off-center elbow was highly prone to break, and the brushroll was small with only one row of very soft bristles.

I thought the PN had the brown Rainbow pattern on it that they had on the D series, so I thought it was some sort of reburbished model, kind of like what they did with Electroluxs. But now I see its just really shiny. Thanks for the info.

Progress now only produce European "same again" Electrolux models. Perhaps this was an early Electrolux?
