This one started out life brown too, but it fell into the hands of a mom & pop vacuum shop and became a frankenvacuum. They used Tradition blue trim and probably buffed the aluminum. At least this one still has its builder's plate. These machines are fairly common on eBay, I've even seen chintzy looking plastic triangular belt lifters.

Looks like one of the Kirby Co complete rebuilds to me. Every one I have seen that Kirby has done used what ever the current colours were so I would assume it was done when the Tradition was out.

the builder plate on the bottom says different. if it was an actual factory rebuild that original dark brown id plate would have been replaced. BOJACK. tho vacstars kirby's look nice, the too often bojack them and isnt worth that money for non original colors/ parts in my eyes.
