That looks so cool. How well does it work with that turbine nozzle? I'm assuming this is a Canada-only model.

That!!

Is NOT a US model...I love the Canadian stuff, it is not only different but very well built!

yes,,

this is a Canadian model, is very light, very quiet, and has pretty good suction. The turbine nozzel works very good, and I think its due to the wide girth of the hose that creates strong air flow. The wands on both ends look to me the same a a GE.

That Lewyt is from 1986 /87. The turbo nozzle isnt from it though. It only came with the rug nozzle in the picture and crevice tool, dusting brush and small nozzle. The delux model was tan and brown with an electric powernozzle. In 88 they were both replaced by two tone grey machines in the same style.

Very nice Lewyt, Brad! If I ever found 1 of these, it wouldn't be parting my collection anytime soon! Especially if it was a powerhead model....that Lewyt, the GE Swivel Top with PN, Lux 86 & 88 with PN, & the Lewyt Big Wheel PN model, are my "holy grail" machines I have been hoping to find someday.

I've always thought the Lewyts were nice looking machines, especially the big wheel models, but I've never seen one in person... I didn't know they made any with a power nozzle or made them as late as the 80s.... very cool!

Is that turbo nozzle a turbo cat or something else? I have a friend who has a Royal back pack vacuum and he's looking for a turbo nozzle for carpet, but doesn't want to spend turbo cat money...

That turbo nozzle is...

A German made one. It says made in Germany on the bottom plate. It works great and is also very quiet in operation.
