hi again, was just vacuuming with my eureka the boss SE and notice on the handle behind the switch it gets rather hot. is this normal? if i can, how could i fix it?

Erm, which Eureka "The Boss" is it (1934? Big bagless plastic thing? The one with the bag mounted on the front??)? There's many a Eureka (and Electrolux) that falls under the same name, could be why there's no responses as yet...

If you think you have hot wiring inside it though, stop using it, you might have a pretty serious fault which could cause damage and/or injury...

You could strip the handle down if you get the line diagram for it and push the thread back in. Ive never done that before on an Electrolux/Eureka model but it is possible to do.
